For Sharkbait, I have decided to update my LJ, since it hasn't happened in quite a while. Things have be a little rocky, but it's nothing I can't handle. Hopefully.
Things to look forward to: Ugly Picking and the musical "Jekyll and Hyde" for which I am doing makeup. It's going to be interesting being gone all next week during the nights and the run of the show. But I hear that it's a good one, so I'm looking forward to seeing it from backstage.
*sigh* Ugly picking. That means we are one step closer to losing a mighty fine Ugly, JDo, who has done nothing but wonderful things for us EC girls. I hope even with his triple major and the Peace Corp, he will be able to still see us, at least for a little while. I guess that I can relate to the yearning for past Uglys... and he will be sorely missed. *sigh* Part of me wishes he could stay, but at the same time, I know it will let us move on and embrace a new man we can whip 'n strip. Thank you, Squeak!
It's about 30 minutes until my next class, African History. We need to write a summary of an article written by P.E.H. Hair (no kidding) and it's just murky and I feel as if I'm drowning in the language. Sometimes I do not know what he's all about, stating one thing and contradicting with another. I think I will mention the flightiness of his monologue in my paper. It's just too much!
I get to see my little guy, Brandon, again today. We are playing a version of Mancala. I do not know how to play this game, and he does. Should be interesting. He beat me in Memory too. But I'm sure if I wanted to win, I could have... but I wanted to give him a chance. It really encourages him to read, and we are reading "James and the Giant Peach" (also something I haven't read), and it should be interesting. Wonder why it was banned in five states? I'm interested to find out too. But Joannie (my prof) really likes Roald Dahl, so I know she doesn't have issues with the book or the author. I'm golden.
I'm ready for the weekend to "party down" as they say.
Party on, dudes.

Dude-ly yours. |
